GK Tours first outing
We had set off from home the usual few days early to say goodbye to friends and family, with a few get togethers along the way.
A cook-off vying the girls against the boys was the brain child of Jane and Andrew, the first leg of which saw the boys cooking for the girls on Friday night. A thorough enjoyable evening, especially as we were wined as well as dined
.

Saturday saw us visiting the lovely Old Chapel in Victoria Country Park for a little bit of Culchur
, we were serenaded by a string quartet playing Coldplay hits by candlelight.
A lovely hours entertainment with all of us battling against the call of the ‘shut eye’
.

Sunday was a visit to El and Cal in Southsea for a lovely Christmas dinner after which we camped overnight on Eastney Esplanade. A fab spot, hardly any passing traffic, though you have to have your wits about you exiting the van as it’s right on to the cycle lanes, and some cyclists take no prisoners
.

Today we should have been on the 11 am ferry to Le Havre which was cancelled, so got a spot on the 20:15 to St Malo. Not too much of an issue as we arrived at @ 8am tomorrow.
We have a pet friendly cabin for Meg which, to be honest was the most important item on our list. We would not have been able to relax if we’d had to leave her in the van.
We’re very excited and can’t wait to get back on French terra firma and start this trip!
