Day 89 23.6.23.
Bellicourt to Bray-Dunes
It started to rain just after I woke this morning, which in truth made us a little sluggish at getting going again
.
We decided to head to the northern French coast and find a campsite for the weekend. But first we needed to get Meg’s worming tablet so that she would be permitted back into the UK.
We headed to Bray-Dunes, a town on the beach just up from Dunkirk and right on the Belgian border, as there were a few vets there we could try. (Funnily, we stopped there on our first night of this trip).
The rain had stopped before we reached the town and the sun was warming us nicely.
The municipal campsite was already full so we grabbed a spot in the Aire next door. Within an hour of us arriving it was full! Phew! Great timing on our part
.
I called a vet who was a 15min walk away and she said just to turn up, so we did
. €31 and Meg’s passport signed and stamped we were all good to go home.
Walking back through the sand dunes where there are two signed paths, we seemed to go round in circles
though Meg was loving the sand and the dunes, as evidenced by her zoomies
. Finally coming out right by the Aire we laughed and joked that at least it was still light
.
Sadly, we didn’t go down to the sea, we were knackered and just sat in the sun for the rest of the afternoon.
