An 85 day trip over the Xmas and New Year period 2024/2025.
Starting with a wander down the west coast of France and across the Pyrenees mountains into Spain.
Heading east through Pamplona, The Rioja region around Logrono, visiting Zaragoza and the “new to us” region of Aragon.
Up into Andorra (as Kelly had never been) then due east again to the seaside at Cadaques, Costa Brava.
Followed the Spanish coast all the way down to Castellon where we were joined by AJ (Andrew, Jane and Marley dog).
Continued the coastal route through Javea, Almeria and all the way down to the Malaga area for Xmas.
Seville, then New Year in El Rocio (cowboy town) where we said goodbye to AJ who headed north while we headed west over the border into Portugal.
Visiited friends in the Algarve, then headed north along the coast for a visit to Lisbon.
Back east into Spain and another “new to us” region of Extremadura to see the sights.
North to the Basque region via Segovia and Avila and back into France following the west coast again back up into Brittany for our ferry home.
Ferry was cancelled due to storms, so we headed north into Normandy for the tunnel back.
